Payment Options

We offer interest-free payment options! Training may be scheduled upon receipt of a deposit towards your program, with the balance being due during the course of your training. Details regarding a payment plan for your specific training schedule can be discussed further with our office staff.

Payments options include: Cash, Debit, e-Transfer, Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, MasterCard Debit and American Express. Charges apply to cancellations made with insufficient notice.


Cancellation Policy

Scheduled appointments are mandatory. For appointments less than 3 hours in duration, at least 2 full business days notice is required to cancel a scheduled appointment. Appointments 3 hours or longer in duration, or a road test appointment require at least 5 business days notice to cancel.

No refund of tuition fees will be made for cancelled sessions. Additional fees will be charged for additional training or make-up training that may be required.

Refund Policy

Upon approval, authorized refunds will be payable within ten business days. Amount of refund is limited to prepaid training hours that are unused. To be eligible for a refund you must withdraw from the program within 90 days of registration. In the event that you do not complete your training program in full, any program discount will be reversed and charges will revert to individual component pricing.

Gift cards, promotional gift cards and training credits cannot be exchanged, transferred or returned for cash or credit. A refund will be issued to you via the original form of payment with purchases made with a gift card, returned on a gift card.

This refund policy may be modified at any time without notice.


Privacy Policy

Valley Driving School is committed to protecting a student’s personal information. We promise to limit the collection, use and disclosure of a student’s personal information to the extent required to conduct business. In addition to communications regarding student registration, Valley Driving School may periodically send additional communications regarding driving tips, guides and other helpful resources to support a student’s enrolment and training.

Students can opt out of additional communications at their discretion and by notifying Valley Driving School.

Code Of Conduct Handshake Valley Driving School

Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct is to establish and communicate a set of principles and guidelines for the proper conduct of Driver Training Instructors, Driver Training Schools, and Instructor Training Facilities licensed under Division 27 of the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations.

As part of the application an​d renewal processes, schools and licensees must review the Code of Conduct and by signing the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) application they are indicating that they have read and understood, and will comply with this Code of Conduct. Driver Training Schools and Instructor Training Facilities must review this Code of Conduct with new employees during onboarding and annually with all employees.​​​​

​​A breach of this Code of Conduct by licensees may result in the suspension or cancellation of a driver training school’s road test booking privileges or further action being taken by ICBC against the licensee under Division 27 of the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations. These actions would be in addition to any other sanctions that may be imposed by law (e.g., charges for federal or provincial offences).

Completing driver training does not guarantee a successful result on an ICBC road test or guarantee a trainee will pass an ICBC road test, knowledge test or assessment. Certification does not guarantee that ICBC will issue a licence or Air Brake Endorsement: ICBC may require a Certified Trainee to be retested by a Driver Examiner; and ICBC will have access to the Trainee’s training and assessment records.

Motorcycle Skills Assessments (MSA) are conducted at our locations with our Instructors who are certified Assessment Officers. MSA does not guarantee that ICBC will issue a licence: ICBC may require a certified trainee to be retested by a Driver Examiner; and ICBC will have access to the trainee’s training and assessment records.

School Policy

Students who apply for training to be conducted by Valley Driving School agree to pay the tuition fee in full prior to the completion of training. Training can be prepaid in advance or paid per training session. A full statement of fees including tuition, services, equipment & vehicle rentals and extra charges that might be incurred are available by electronic brochure or in office via printed brochures.

Valley Driving School may, in whole or in part, reproduce, use, exhibit, display, broadcast, distribute and create derivative works of the photographed and/or filmed images of students – including image, likeness and/or voice without compensation, for use in connection with their activities or for promoting, publicizing, or explaining Valley Driving School or its activities. This grant includes the right to publish such images in PR/promotional materials, such as marketing publications, advertisements, fundraising materials, public affairs releases, broadcast public service advertising (PSAs), recruitment materials and any other Valley Driving School-related publications or endeavors. These images may appear in any of the wide variety of formats/media available to Valley Driving School and that may be available in the future, including but not limited to print, broadcast, videotape, DVD, electronic media, online media and social media.

On-road lesson time includes a short, 5 minute debrief summarizing our training and completing a report card for you to review at your convenience.

On-road and in-cab lessons are typically conducted one-on-one with the Student Driver & the Instructor. Some sessions such as MELT in-cab may have a second student attend with 1 Instructor present. Group training sessions such as Air Brake Certification, MELT yard, Motorcycle Skills, Motorcycle Skills Assessments, Motorcycle Traffic will typically have up to 5 students attend with 1 Instructor present. Classroom and/or theory sessions will range from 12 students up to 24 students per Instructor.

Training sessions will be attended by the Student Driver, the Driving Instructor and in some circumstances an additional observer – an Instructor Trainer or an Instructor Trainee. These observers may monitor ongoing courses and lessons to ensure training is conducted effectively, safely and exceeds ICBC standards.

Students have the right to file a claim for tuition fees against the ICBC security. All disputes will be dealt with according to Valley Driving School’s Student Dispute Resolution Policy. Admission, Student Conduct and Dismissal and Suspension policies are available upon request.
